Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern access to Aresset: a record of how a tenancy was kept, plus marketplace and workspace tools. By creating an account or browsing the platform you agree to these terms and the privacy note.
2. The service
Aresset is a supportive tool for consolidating rent, repairs, messages, and other history you choose to record. It assists. It does not guarantee compliance, tenancy outcomes, or deposit results. We are not a letting agent, broker, insurer, adviser, or credit reference. We do not hold rent, a tenancy deposit, or a holding deposit, and we do not arrange the let.
3. Accounts & roles
You must provide accurate registration details and keep credentials secure. Landlord and tenant workspaces are role-specific. Agent access is provisioned by Aresset on request. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Marketplace listings
Public property and profile listings may include history you have recorded and third-party photos. Listings are informational. You still decide whether a home or a household is a fit.
5. Ledger records
Ledger entries are an append-only chain. Message text and notes can be erased. Rent, repair, deposit, and certificate facts stay for six years after the tenancy ends, then the personal detail is removed. A History Summary reads that chain. It is not a decision, a certificate, or a filing. The words on the status are a reading of dates already on the file. You cannot type that status.
6. Acceptable use
You may not attempt unauthorised access, scrape the service at scale, upload malware, harass users, or submit false payment or repair records. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
7. Fees
Taking part in the current tenancy is part of this demo. A tenant can join, read the file, accept a rent line, and accept an inventory. A tenant may also keep a renting record of homes they state themselves. Each line on that record stays recorded by the tenant until a landlord accepts that line. The record has no status and it is not a place in a list. Aresset does not charge a tenant for a cleaner status, a higher place in a list, or a better chance of a home. The public site does not take a card.
8. Liability
The service is provided with reasonable skill and care but without warranties of uninterrupted availability. Aresset is not liable for indirect losses, lost rent, regulatory fines, or disputes between landlords and tenants except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this site with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Contact
Questions: ledger@aresset.co · Aresset Ltd., Silk Road, Macclesfield, Cheshire, United Kingdom.
11. Closing an account
You can close an account from the account page. Sign-in stops. Published homes come off the marketplace. A card subscription is cancelled. The ledger lines already shared with the other party stay, because that record is not rewritten. Message text can still be erased from the ledger page before you close.
